Ramen Ramen
Ramen Ramen is a ramen shop that focuses on authentic Japanese cuisine from traditional bento boxes to hand-crafted ramen noodles all the way to fresh fish. At Ramen Ramen you will experience the complex flavors that Japanese food has to offer, along with its other niceties.
Purpose
The purpose of this self-made assignment was to explore my love for authentic food of different cultures through design. I wanted to explore a ramen shop in particular because I enjoy authentic Japanese ramen and other authentic Asian dishes.
Process
The process of designing the logo was first by sketching in my notebook.
Moving from left to right in the above sketches, you can visualize my thought process.
Eventually, after some more research, I explored a headband design known in Japanese culture as a hachimaki. The hachimaki is a stylized headband made of cloth worn for various different reasons in Japan.
Vector logos
Here are some of the top pick logos in vector format.
Within the logotype, I included a texture effect to maintain a hand-made look and feel that ties together nicely with the headband logo. The red box encloses the logotype holding all of the elements together. The purpose of the red line extending upwards is so that the logo doesn't look like it's a separate element.
